Mandarins

Ironbark Citrus & Grapes produces a continuous range of premium Australian mandarins for both the Australian domestic market and export markets overseas. Our mandarins are currently export primarily to South East Asia, Europe and the Middle East. The Murcott mandarin is our most popular mandarin variety with half of our turnover coming from the sale of this delicious variety.

Our own variety, the Royal Honey Murcott, is still only available in limited quantities, making early ordering essential to ensure supply.

Our other most popular mandarin varieties are: Fremont, Hickson, Nova and Sunburst.

Other Citrus

Boutique varieties of citrus including Calamondin Cumquats, Nagami Cumquats, Buddha's Hands, and Pomelos are also grown, processed and marketed by Ironbark Citrus & Grapes

Table Grapes

During December, Ironbark Citrus & Grapes produces the very popular Menindee Seedless (White) and Black Muscat Grapes. These are primarily marketed to the Australian Domestic market.


	Fremont Mandarin	This is a small /medium sized, flat/oval shaped, rich red/orange coloured variety. It has smooth, easy to peel skin, and some seeds. It has a very rich, sweet flavour. It ships and stores well. Estimated output: 72,000 9kg nett cartons
	Menindee Seedless Grape	This is a crisp skinned, sweet, seedless white table grape variety, with creamy-yellow berries. It is more suited to domestic, or airfreight export markets; though, with care, it can also be sea freighted. Estimated output: 12,000 10kg nett cartons
	Sunburst Mandarin	This is a medium/large sized, oval shaped variety, with a deep coral red/orange colour. It is sweet and highly flavoured, with some seeds. It has an extremely smooth, shiny and easy to peel skin. It stores and ships well. Estimated output: 43,000 9kg nett carton
	Nova Mandarin	This is a medium/large sized, round shaped, deep orange coloured variety. It has medium skin that is easy to peel. It has a juicy, pleasant flavour, and contains few seeds. It ships and stores well. Estimated output: 80,000 9kg nett cartons
	Hickson Mandarin	This is a medium to large sized, oval/round shaped, deep orange coloured variety. It has smooth, very easy to peel skin and some seeds. This variety of mandarin has a pleasant, juicy flavour. It ships and stores well. Estimated output: 30,000 18kg nett cartons
	Royal Honey Murcott Mandarin	This variety has been developed by Ironbark Citrus, and its supply is exclusive to Ironbark Citrus. Estimated output: 4,500 18kg nett cartons
	Low Seed Murcott Mandarin	This is an early murcott type, and is harvested just before the traditional murcott. It is a medium/large sized, flat/oval shaped, orange coloured variety. It has a thin, smooth skin, and has very few seeds. It has a rich, sweet, honey-like flavour. It ships and stores well. Estimated output: 3,600 18kg nett cartons
	Honey Murcott	This is a medium sized, flat/oval shaped, orange coloured variety. It has a thin, smooth skin, and is moderately seedy. It has a rich sweet honey-like flavour. It ships and stores well. Harvest: August Estimated output: 32,000 18kg nett cartons
	Calamondin Cumquat	This is a small round, flat, orange coloured variety. It has smooth thin skin and a typical bitter cumquat flavour. It is very juicy, and has some seeds. It is used in cooking, mainly for jams and liqueurs. It is suitable for domestic, or airfreight export only. Estimated output: 500 5kg cartons
	Nagami Cumquat	This is a small, long oval, bright orange coloured variety. It has smooth sweet and spicy flavoured skin, little flesh and few seeds. It can be eaten fresh, and is used extensively in the restaurant trade for cooking and decorative purposes. It stores and ships well. Estimated output: 750 5kg nett cartons
